River Rats

River Rats

This place sits on a very narrow little back road right on the bank of the James River in Gladstone, Virginia.

Not to worry,  I’m not insulting anyone by calling them river rats; a lot of people, in these parts that live on the river, call themselves river rats… there is even a kayaking and canoeing club around that calls themselves river rats.

Buckboard Wagon

Buckboard Wagon

I was surprised to find this beautifully preserved buckboard wagon in a building that is falling down around it and surrounded by junk.

Main and Twelfth

Main and Twelfth

The corner of Main and Twelfth Streets in Lynchburg, Virginia…I’m not sure if this is a barber shop and junk store or just a junk store.
