Far Afield

Far Afield

An old dairy barn and a smaller hay barn remain relatively intact after years of nonuse, in a field where milk cows used to roam and feed, and now beef cattle live out their lives.

“The Obama We Don’t Know”

My thoughts:

I have been staying away from commenting on politics this year, and just watching and listening, but now that Obama has clinched the Democratic nomination I have to say that the Dems have dropped the ball again. Obama can’t beat McCain in November and if you read the article, which is fair and concise, you will see some reasons why.

Personally, I don’t trust Obama…I don’t think that Obama has the knowledge or experience to be president of the United States…I don’t think he has the backbone to firmly handle international problems that plague us all at this time.

I also have a problem with the entire Democratic Party. Too many people have voted for Obama simply because he is black. Too many have voted for Clinton simply because she is a woman. I am a swing voter which means I vote for the lesser of the evils offered. I do, and have always had, a problem with those who vote party instead of voting for what, of the two evils, is actually better for our country and the world as a whole.

Okay, I’ve said how I feel and that is likely to be all that I’ll say on the subject, so read this article on the Wall Street Journal website and start (START) your researchso that you can vote responsibly in November.

Artsy Oxeyes

Artsy Oxeyes

I love photography and manipulating a lot of what I photograph, that’s no big surprise to those who know me. However, I think the reason that I love photo manipulation is that I used to paint but never seemed satisfied with what I did…that’s not to say that I am ever satisfied with my photography but at least it’s not as messy and smelly. While I don’t think of myself as an artist I do adore art in all of its forms!
