Autumn’s Smile

Autumn’s Smile

Last evening, while crossing the James River on my way home, autumn smiled at me and posed for this image…I smiled back at her!

In the Storm

In the Storm

Late yesterday afternoon, it was raining, light to heavy at times and foggy…days like this I like to head to higher elevations and one of my favorite locations is Thunder Ridge and the Appalachian Trail. When I got there I had the great pleasure of meeting a fellow photographer who was filming footage, of the extreme weather, for a documentary he is working on. The wind was blowing so hard that we had to yell at each other to hear, and clouds were rolling thru like an express train; one minute you couldn’t see ten feet in front of you and the next it would open up some, as when I took this shot. I love that kind of conditions in the mountains, as did the gentleman in this image.
