As adults we can’t be sure what is on a child’s mind from one minute to the next. They carry around more baggage than most of realize; it’s just that their baggage is more recent than ours expanding days or hours as opposed to years. Being a child is stressful and we need to remember that and work at understanding it.
Even if I could I wouldn’t go back to being a child…my early life was filled with stress nearly 24/7 and I believe that more children feel that stress nowadays more than any other time in our history. Remember, when you talk with your children, talk with them and not at them; treat them with respect!!!
