As landscape photographers we are essentially chasers of light. This evening while driving a back road through Bedford County I saw that these clouds were going to move in front of the sun and offer me a special lighting condition and my only thought then was…Where can I find a good scene for the foreground of the shot? I know the roads well in this part of the Blue Ridge Mountains and remembered this barn about two miles after I turned on the upcoming road. I pulled up to the barn just in time to catch this fleeting moment.

I admire your tendency for being “there” right when a photo should be taken. It often seems that you are in the right place at the right time and it makes your style recognizable in its loveliness.
