We’re All in this Together

There has been a lot of talk about race relations in the presidential race this year in the U.S. and I am inclined to believe that most of problem lies within the larger cities in our country. These are the places where there are always people who want to keep things stirred-up and keep us apart…a lot of people who are seeking there fifteen minutes of fame –in the news- at any cost. Where I live, I know things are not perfect in regards to race relations, but you do not witness the sort of animosity that you are always hearing about in the news. I think there is something the bigger more populated areas in our country can learn from small towns.

The picture is a painting in the art community in Lynchburg, Virginia where people are working on resolving there differences and are doing very well at communicating with one another, and in turn, becoming more accepting of our differences and likenesses.

This painting represents hope for me and so does the Lynchburg area!
