Saprobic in hardwood forests and mixed woods; on soil or in moss; sometimes on rotting logs; growing gregariously; summer through winter; widely distributed in North America.
I wanted to let those of you who may be interested know that last week I was asked by the Photo Editor, of Conservation Projects with National Geographic Maps to contribute to an online encyclopedia project (LandScope) which is a collaboration between NatureServe and the National Geographic Society. The first phase of the project will be launched in October, 2007.
I am excited and very appreciative to have been asked to participate in this project!
