Wild Sarsaparilla (Aralia nudicaulis)

This wildflower is in the Ginseng Family (Araliaceac) and grows 8 to 15 inches tall. It blooms July-August in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is found in upland woods. View large to see the tiny individual flowers with green stamens and very tiny white petals.
