With past that’s rich in majesty
And art that pleased the kings.
Throughout the measures of history,
Her eternal beauty sings.

With love of time, concept divine,
And where artist’s, sublime, paid their dues,
Such wonders, grand and magical live
In the Palace of the Muse…

Ironweed and Skippers

Ironweed (Vernonia noveboracensis) blooms July-September in moist woods, marshes and along streams in the Blue Ridge region.

The Skippers are a group of insects in the order Lepidoptera, classified in the superfamily Hesperioidea, which includes only one family, the Hesperiidae.
